About HK Jogging

Find a place to run, check a timetable, or plan your next race.

Why this site exists

Finding somewhere to run should be simple. HK Jogging brings venue information, dated public-jogging timetables and race listings together, so you can check the details before you leave.

It now goes beyond stadium laps: you can look for a park, compare indoor tracks, explore a longer route or choose a race. Every guide is available in English and Traditional Chinese.

One person, a little help from ads

There is no big team behind HK Jogging. It is a one-person project, built to make it a little easier to find somewhere to run and something to look forward to. I want the time you save here to become time you spend out there.

A small number of ads helps cover the cost of keeping this site online and maintaining it. I keep them away from the maps, timetables and filters, so they do not get between you and the information you came for. Thank you for being here. This may be a small project, but I hope it makes a small, useful difference to your next run.

What you can find here

  • 25 LCSD sports-ground guides

Check dated jogging schedules and venue notes. Not every ground offers public jogging or has a parsed timetable.

  • 104 outdoor venues on a map

Browse 102 LCSD jogging / fitness venues and 2 Kai Tak operator venues. Filter by district or type and follow the official links.

  • 6 indoor tracks

Compare mapped facilities, track lengths, access rules and published maintenance notices.

  • 100 running routes

Search road, park and trail courses by area, distance or type. View official distances, source notes and AFCD hiking grades. The selection is not a popularity ranking.

  • Running near me

Use your location or choose a map point to compare nearby stadium tracks, parks and indoor venues. Route links lead to the separate route map; routes without verified access points are not ranked by distance.

  • Hong Kong and regional race calendar

Hong Kong is the default region. Switch to Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, South Korea or Macau, then filter by month, distance or registration status. Individual event pages identify the edition and link to the organiser.

  • Practical running articles

Read about track etiquette and getting started on public tracks, in English or Traditional Chinese.

Sources, not promises

Timetables come from official LCSD sources. Venue guides link to LCSD or the operator; race pages link to the organiser or official registration platform. Review dates and source notes show what was checked, not a guarantee that nothing has changed since.

A missing timetable is unknown, not proof that a track is closed. A turf closure does not automatically close the running track. General opening hours, facility location and day-specific jogging access are separate facts.

The aim is simple: less time searching, more time running.

Frequently asked questions

Is the availability information live?

No. Stadium timetables are dated snapshots of official schedules, not a live booking or closure service. Check the selected date and any venue notices. Last-minute bookings, weather or maintenance can change access.

Does a map pin mean I can run there today?

No. Venue pins mark facility reference locations, not verified entrances or current opening status. A centre’s general opening hours do not confirm that its track is available. Check the venue’s access notes and official notices.

Are the route maps heatmaps or GPS navigation?

Neither. The collection has 100 selected courses: 10 LCSD routes with reviewed OpenStreetMap references and 90 routes from AFCD open data via CSDI and DATA.GOV.HK. They do not show runner activity or popularity. Hiking grades are not running grades; some sections require walking. Turnarounds can be approximate and source gaps are retained. Use official notices and signs on the ground. Government owns the official source data intellectual property rights and does not endorse this independent guide.

Can I register for a race on HK Jogging?

HK Jogging lists events and links to organisers or their registration platforms. It does not take entries or payments. Confirm the event edition, registration deadline, fees and entry conditions on the official page before signing up.

Is this an official LCSD website?

No. HK Jogging is an independent guide. Sources include LCSD, AFCD open data, venue operators, race organisers and OpenStreetMap. Official venue and organiser notices take priority over this site.

What happens to my location?

The nearby finder requests location only when you choose “Use my location”. It calculates straight-line distances in your browser; it does not add your coordinates to the page URL. You can use a district search or select a point on the map instead.

Privacy & cookies

Updated 31 October 2026. HK Jogging uses a small number of Google AdSense ads on selected articles, individual race pages, longer default race lists, stadium guides, and below the homepage map and timetable. Ads stay outside maps, timetables and filters. They are not endorsements and do not replace official source links.

Advertising and third-party services

Google and other third-party advertising vendors use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies in their services. Google's advertising cookies can let Google and its partners personalize ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. On this site, we instead request non-personalized ads selected using current context, such as the page and approximate region, rather than past browsing behavior. Cookies may still be used for frequency limits and aggregate reporting. Your browser may send these services your IP address, browser and device information, and information about the page you visit. Our ad code does not send the nearby finder's precise device location.

Read how Google uses information from partner sites. You can opt out of personalized Google ads in My Ad Center and manage some other vendors through the third-party advertising opt-out tool. These choices do not necessarily remove all ads.

Your choices

Our main audience is in Asia. We request non-personalized ads with restricted data processing, without automatic ad-consent pop-ups. Before loading Google ads, the code checks an approximate country code through this site's existing Cloudflare service. It does not request device location or store your IP address or the full diagnostic response. European regions are ad-free. If the country check fails, no ad loads. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies for frequency limits and aggregate reporting. You can use your browser's cookie controls and the opt-out tools above. Our ad code respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and does not load live ads in local previews or automated tests.

Other site features

Google Analytics separately measures page views and site actions using cookies and browser-stored preferences. It does not receive search text or device location from our event code; Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled. Map providers may receive connection information, including your IP address, when map tiles load. Nearby distances are calculated in your browser. External registration sites, Telegram and other linked services have their own privacy policies.
