The Philippines rewards a race plan that starts with a simple question: which city do you want to wake up in? A Cebu marathon holiday, a Manila-area weekend and a Mindanao trip are different journeys, even when the race distances look similar.

Our ten picks range from full-marathon goals to 5K outings and women’s events. Entry snapshot: 31 October 2026. Nine have published online application routes; TBR is closed. A registration link still needs a category, accepted payment and final confirmation before it becomes your place on the start line.

The order groups marathon trips before shorter city runs. Comparable current-edition attendance figures were not verified for all ten, so this is not a national headcount ranking. TBR publishes 4,500 runners for its 2027 programme; that one figure cannot establish its position against every other event. Distance labels such as 42K and 21K retain the organizer’s wording and do not by themselves establish certified measurement.

Cebu Marathon: make the race the centre of the holiday

Cebu is the first place to look if you want a full-marathon destination with shorter options for the rest of the group. The 10 January 2027 programme offers 42K, 21K, 10K and 5K. Choose the distance that leaves you enough energy for the holiday you actually want.

The organizer’s FAQ schedules registration through 15 November 2026, or earlier if full. Entry is online only. It distinguishes an order confirmation from successful payment confirmation; save the latter before treating the booking as complete. Check the final race-kit collection instructions when planning arrival.

Santé Barley Trilogy National Finals: understand the series rules

The National Finals offers a November target in Pasay with a range of distances. It sits within a nationwide series that builds through multiple legs, which gives the event an identity beyond a standalone Sunday run.

Public registration and age-group championship qualification are separate matters. An ordinary entry should not be described as a guaranteed championship place. Overseas runners should also read the distinct international podium guidance if competing for awards.

Start with our Trilogy National Finals page and the organizer’s edition page and race mechanics.

Cagayan de Oro: a marathon trip beyond the usual stops

Cagayan de Oro is our pick for runners who want a different Philippine destination. The 13 December event is based at SM City CDO Uptown and forms part of the organizer’s Philippine Marathon Majors series. That national series name should not be confused with the Abbott World Marathon Majors.

Full and shorter distances let a group choose different goals. Check the category timetable and the journey to the venue rather than relying on a registration card’s single event time. Compare our Cagayan de Oro Marathon page with the official entry information.

TBR InLife Dream Marathon: a first-marathon project, not a casual add-on

TBR’s difference is its audience: it is strictly for first- or second-time marathoners. The 2027 event publishes a 4,500-runner programme, an eight-hour limit and a training journey with online and in-person support.

Applications are closed. Even in a future opening, a visitor should confirm the training and medical-document requirements and how overseas participation works. A place in a training-led marathon is a different commitment from booking a weekend 10K.

Read our TBR Dream Marathon details and official eligibility and race information.

PSE Bull Run: a Makati weekend with several distances

The 24 January edition marks 100 years of the Philippine Stock Exchange. Based at Ayala Triangle Gardens, it offers a recognisable Makati base for a city-running weekend and distances from 3K to 21K.

It shares its date with The Great UP Run in Quezon City. Choose the experience and accommodation that suit you rather than treating Metro Manila as one start-line neighbourhood. See our PSE Bull Run page and official registration page.

ArmyNavy Run: keep room for the finish-line appetite

ArmyNavy’s food theme adds a lighter note to the race calendar. The 7 February event lists Ayala Triangle Gardens and 5K, 10K and 21K choices. It suits runners who want the race to be one part of a Makati weekend rather than the whole holiday.

Check the exact package inclusions before assuming any particular food reward comes with your entry. Our ArmyNavy Run details lead to the organizer’s current page.

DailyFix Power Run: choose a shorter January target

DailyFix returns for a second year at the SM Mall of Asia area in Pasay. Its 3K, 5K, 10K and 16K choices suit runners who want a January goal without a marathon build-up. The separately advertised dog event is not another human running category.

The date clashes with Cebu Marathon, so pick your destination as well as your distance. Compare our DailyFix Power Run page and official edition information.

The Great UP Run: a campus-flavoured alternative

The Great UP Run supports University of the Philippines varsity teams through a partnership with the university’s athletics office. Its UP Diliman setting and community focus offer a different feel from a commercial-centre start.

The current edition lists 5K, 10K and 16K, and the event is on 24 January 2027. Do not substitute distances from an older summary. Start with our Great UP Run details and organizer’s race page.

Lactacyd Women’s Run Davao: a women’s race in a different city

Davao hosts the series’ second leg on 17 January at SM Lanang. The 5K, 10K and 16K options give runners different goals, with a separate 1K children’s category. The appeal is a women’s event built around participation and community.

Check gender, age and accompaniment rules for the exact category; the children’s event does not make every adult category a family run. See our Women’s Run Davao page and official rules and registration.

Lactacyd Women’s Run Iloilo: a later-season escape

Iloilo’s 18 July edition concludes the same women’s running series, at SM City Iloilo. It gives this shortlist a later date if January does not suit your calendar, with 5K, 10K and 16K plus a separate 1K children’s category.

A shared series identity does not mean one entry covers another city. Confirm the Iloilo edition and category when paying, then check its own collection and race-day instructions. Read our Women’s Run Iloilo details and official event page.

Turn the shortlist into a race booking

Use the race detail page to reach the official entry channel. Confirm category availability, accepted overseas ID, payment and collection before paying for travel. On Race Roster, a public Register link and an access-code option can coexist; a special code is not automatically required for ordinary entry.

Choose accommodation using the actual city and venue. Pasay, Makati, Quezon City and Alabang are different bases; Cebu, Iloilo, Davao and Cagayan de Oro require their own travel plans. Check your category’s start time and book transport that gets you there with time to spare. Put the ambitious sightseeing after recovery, not before the gun.
