Singapore Races 2026–2027: 7 Runs Worth the Trip
Find your Singapore race trip: compare 7 marathon, half-marathon and charity-run options for 2026–2027, with entry checks and race detail links.

Singapore makes a tempting race weekend: a serious run, a good breakfast and a city break in the same suitcase. The interesting choice is how much of the holiday you want to spend racing. There is a major marathon weekend, a dedicated shorter-distance event and community runs where the cause sets the pace.
These seven picks cover different kinds of trip. Some are open to applications; others belong on a future wish list. Entry snapshot: 31 October 2026. A visible Register button does not guarantee a place in your distance or overseas category.

This is a race-trip shortlist, not a national attendance ranking. Sport Singapore publishes a 52,000-place cap across the 2026 marathon weekend, including a 12,000-place full marathon. That is capacity across categories, not 52,000 marathon finishers. Comparable edition-specific totals were not verified for every other pick, so we have not invented a league table.
Singapore International Marathon: choose the category first
The 2026 event uses the name BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas. It is the obvious choice if you want the biggest occasion in this selection, with different races across 4–6 December. Sport Singapore’s outline separates the full-marathon allocation into local and international places.
Check your exact category before paying for flights. The homepage banner currently extends 5K and Kids Dash entry to 31 October, while its FAQ also mentions 10K and limited overseas marathon/half places. Those messages do not establish live inventory for every category. The short-distance extension is not a blanket marathon deadline.
Use our Singapore International Marathon edition page, the organizer’s current notices and Sport Singapore’s event overview.
2XU Compression Run: a half-marathon-sized holiday
A 21.1K, 10K or 5K gives your running group a useful range without asking everyone to train for 42.195K. The 2027 event is scheduled at the F1 Pit Building on 21 March and has an online entry route.
The detail that can change your travel budget is race-pack collection: the published collection dates are 26–28 February, several weeks before race day. Overseas visitors should confirm an approved collection, proxy or delivery arrangement before assuming one weekend in Singapore is enough. Check the organizer’s current instructions rather than treating a friend’s plan as permission.
See our 2XU 2027 details, the official event and FAQ and pack-collection instructions.
Run For Hope: a shorter run with a purpose
Choose this if the cause matters as much as the clock. Run For Hope brings 5K and 10K options to a cancer-research fundraising event associated with Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore.
Its published standard-price period runs through 31 October 2026. That is a pricing window, not proof of a later entry deadline. Check remaining places and race-pack arrangements for the 29 November event before building your trip around it.
Our Run For Hope page links the edition; the official website holds current entry and collection notices.
Forest Run Sentosa: swap the city circuit for mixed surfaces
Forest Run is an appealing change of scenery, but the name needs unpacking. The organizer describes a mixed-surface loop with park connectors and some trail; do not assume it is a remote technical trail race. Equally, its 21K category should not be treated as a certified 21.0975K road half marathon.
The 7K and 14K events are on 24 April; the 21K is on 25 April 2027. Pick your distance before booking the dates. The organizer welcomes all nationalities, but pack collection and the final race instructions still matter.

Tour de Care: make the morning count for someone else
Home Nursing Foundation’s event combines fundraising with 5K and 10K run/walk options. It suits a mixed group where some people want to run and others would rather walk together. The cycling and virtual categories are separate choices, not extra running distances.
The organizer targets 3,000 participants for 2027; that is an event ambition, not confirmed attendance or a runners-only quota. Its Great Eastern Promenade location is still marked TBC. Confirm the final venue before choosing accommodation for a start-line location.
Start with our Tour de Care race page and the organizer’s programme.
Run for Life: a community morning at Gardens by the Bay
Run for Life offers 2.4K and 5K for its physical event on 21 November. The fundraising campaign supports children and families served by Life Community. This is a better fit for a social or family outing than for a personal-best expedition.
The physical race-day entry deadline is 31 October. Fundraising and virtual activity continue to 31 December, which does not extend access to the physical race. Payment instructions use PayNow; visitors without that facility should ask the organizer about an accepted alternative. Read the fundraising expectations too.

NUS Bizad Charity Run: a campus option for the next watch list
A campus event can offer a different flavour from a downtown marathon. NUS Bizad Charity Run is open beyond students and alumni, with 5K and 10K options supporting its charity mission.
The 16 January 2027 edition is sold out on the organizer’s homepage. Keep it as an event to follow for a future release, not an available January entry. Its headline of more than 16,000 runners is cumulative since 2011, not the size of one edition.
See our NUS Bizad Charity Run page and official status.
A cancellation to check before you travel
Great Eastern Women’s Run 2026, scheduled for 1 November, has been cancelled because of worsening air quality. It is excluded from the seven picks above. Registered runners should follow the official cancellation notice for arrangements. We have not substituted an unannounced 2027 date.
Build a Singapore race weekend that works
Choose distance, entry category and pack collection before the hotel. Keep one easy day around the race and plan the journey to the start using the event’s transport notice; an early start does not guarantee normal public transport will be running. For charity events, check fundraising commitments alongside the registration fee.
